Violent content in our entertainment industry has escalated over the years and, by anyone's standards, is a contributing factor in the desensitization of society (esp. young people) to brutality, bloodshed, and horror. Through video games, TV, films, and more, people have become immune to the devastating effects of real-life violence toward others. This content is driven by its market value to business owners and studio producers. I think it's time we use entertainment for a higher calling.
