The choice between a private and public school should not be one of quality of education. A collaboration of experts in education, child developmental psychology, technology, etc. for the purpose of redesigning the American public school curriculum and manner in which it is taught should occur. These people should use the latest in research regarding education to design it as well.
In addition, the Constitution is lauded for being alive, for being amendable. Our curriculum should be as well. It should be designed in a way that it can adapt as we learn what we're doing wrong, or right, in order to continually move towards a more perfect American education. I'm asking you to give every child here "schools worthy of their potential," something you said you wanted for every child in America.
