take steps to facilitate the privately-funded transportation and relocation of the injured bipedal bear "Pedals" of NJ.

Created by D.M. on October 15, 2015

"Pedals" is a bipedal bear only able to walk upright due to injury. He is missing one front paw and the other is permanently injured. He does not have the capability of running from what he may consider a threat, he cannot climb trees as most black bears do. The Orphaned Wildlife Center in Otisville, NY have comitted 100% to helping Pedals. They are a non-profit organization that currently houses 12 bears. Private funding to move Pedals to a sanctuary where a den will be constructed and veterinary care provided. The NJ Department of Fish & Wildlife has refused to come to a decision and action must be taken quickly to ensure this remarkable bear survives. Winter is coming. Maybe you've seen him on GMA or in videos posted online. We can save this bear at absolutely no cost to taxpayers.
