We ask that the President work with the ATF and with legislators to unwind the most constricting legislation in place which hinders our rights of firearm ownership. The National Firearms Act defines, restricts, and taxes the importation, manufacture, and purchasing of Short-Barreled Rifles, Short-Barreled Shotguns, and Suppressors, as well as other firearm related materials. The backgroud checks for ownership of these items are no more revealing than that of standard firearm ownership, however the extra tax (usually $200 each item) and the extended wait time (sometimes in excess of a full year) have restricted access of these items from law-abiding citizens for too long. Our people have the right to bear arms, and that right shall not be infringed. Please remove this infringement now!
