take steps to reverse the provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act that allow for indefinite detention.

Created by M.W. on January 04, 2012

The founding fathers of this country setup a constitution to ENSURE the rights of every citizen. They knew from history that leaving decisions about the liberties of citizens to one individual would not work.

We believe that bypassing the law and putting individual rights in the hands of one man is a very bad precedent to set and a step away from a democratic government.

It is the President's responsibility to guard against abuses of individuals civil liberties and to support and defend the constitution of the United States. By signing the National Defense Authorization Act, the President has provided a tool that could be used by future presidents to abuse the rights of individuals.

Please consider, Who is the next President, What are their values, Can we trust them with this power.
