In 1967 The US Congress enacted a series of laws to protect American workers from discrimination in the workplace. Enforcement of those laws is delegated to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in each state. The laws are enforced at the discretion of the Director of each EEOC office in an inconsistent manner depending on the states independent designation of being "At Will" or "Right to Work" . The result of this is that the laws are being enforced in a non-consistent manner across the nation. Workers who have reached the protected age of 40 are routinely targeted for summary dismissal and replaced with younger workers. The employers routinely violate federal EEO laws in the process of trimming their workforce yet the EEOC refuses to enforce the laws.My story. www.thearmyandme.com
