The recent government shutdown is, by all definitions, a failure of government with the potential to cause an extreme economic catastrophe and affect the lives of billions of people worldwide. The inability of our congressional leaders to govern the most powerful and influential nation in the world cannot be overlooked.
As a result, we the people of these United States request that swift and decisive action be taken to hold accountable those primarily responsible for the recent shutdown and allow the people to evaluate, individually, their ability to continue governing this great nation. Furthermore, we request the administration appoint a committee charged with the creation of new policy to prevent such events from occurring in the future.
The time is now to start cooperating.
