Take the vote out of the hands of the Congress, and by referendum let the people decide gun control.

Let the people of the United States decide on the issue of gun control, how much and what type. This would let Congress off the hook, because Congress is to afraid to act and lose their corporate money backers. Some issues are better off decided by the people directly.
