Military veterans and all dying patients should not be taken advantage of.
It is one thing if a person marries before getter sicker , but another if the cancer has over ridden there clear thinking.
while my mother was fighting for ten years with cancer she set up a will that was not handed to her children as asked a friend changed everything.
My Former spouse of 20/20/20/ plus years just recently passed 8/3/13 he was not in his well state of mind didn't recognize people. I was ask to leave hospital at Arizona veterans hospital were they allowed a death bed wedding to give a bar friend benefits she didn't earn. She promised my kids things she didn't give them. I couldn't be there for my kids because she and other bar people was in charge.
