Talk about We, the Legal Immigrants in the US. We pay taxes, been on temp status for years yet we R not in the debate

Created by T.Y. on February 03, 2013

We, Legal immigrants in the US, we are teachers, workers, scientists, PhD, we've been in the US for decades or years on various temporal statuses, some of us are Parents, we pay our taxes yearly, we participate in community activities yet in the Immigration debate, it's all about illegal immigrants. We think it is a good gesture to acknowledge the illegals in the US but how about US, the Legal Immigrants. What's in this debate for US, the legal immigrants. What should we do to be permanent residents, to stop living in fear of deportation if we lose our job, when we graduate etc? President Obama talks about scientists but there are other legal Immigrants in the US who are not scientists and still contribute to better this country. We are all a nation of Immigrants dixit B.O. Make it right.
