We have fallen far down on the list of countries providing rapid nation\world-wide communication services at reasonable charges, (approx 17th) This is costing our society both financially, in lost jobs, and in the aspect of stifling access and new innovations. In comparison to other countries we pay significantly more for a lower level of service. Changes to current policy are needed now to move us back to leadership in today’s world marketplaces. This "utility" is not fostering competition or balance among providers. Just as electricity was, oversight is needed, development this is a critical investment in this country's future. Let's start building the new grid for the 22nd century. Put in place the incentives and requirements for true nationwide high speed internet access.
