"Tax all speculative trading" to end wall street v/s main street discrimination, and to add >$4T income to US budget!

Created by S.J. on September 23, 2011

Most main street trade in US is double taxed - seller pays taxes on net gains/profits, and buyer pays taxes/surcharge on purchase on the same trade.

Contrast this with zero purchase or sales tax on majority of speculative trade transactions in US - taxes are expected only on the net gains from the wall street - this is discrimination by design!

For the all the costs and risks that US citizens incur when stock market professionals (and off lately computers) gamble with common citizen’s life time savings, absence of a speculative trade tax is akin to defrauding US citizens of reasonable reimbursement for their contributions.

Let's petition to remove discrimination between the Main Street and Wall Street trades; both should be taxed equally and fairly.
