Instead of gun control that some Americans feel it effects the second amendment, why not put a high tax on bullets.
If the federal government put a high tax on buying a box of bullets, then all the NRA members would have to think twice before buying them.
The NRA would still have the guns; it will just cost to get the bullets for the guns. So you can have all the guns your want BUT if you want to buy bullets you have to go through a huge background and mental check, and pay the high tax. So bullets would cost (depending on the bullet) $2500 to $5000. PLUS the tax would help offset some of the deficit!
So no gun control, just bullet control and I don't think there is an amendment for that.
