Tax Choice, or Taxpayer Sovereignty, is allowing taxpayers to have a greater say in how their individual taxes are allocated. Tax choice would grant taxpayers the ability to directly allocate a percentage of their income taxes to any part of the discretionary federal budget.
Tax Choice would appeal to all sides of the political spectrum. Conservatives could choose to allocate more of their tax dollars to national defense, Progressives could allocate more towards poverty assistance programs and environmental protection, and Everyone could choose to allocate money towards paying down the national debt.
