It has become clear that several religious institutions are trying to close the gap between church and state with truck loads of money to lobby their agendas.
The People now demand that churches of every denomination start paying their fair share in taxes and no longer receive a tax exempt status.
The fact that they are using church money to lobby congress and elected officials is speaking volumes in regards to how much disposable income they have.
Taxing the church would help restore the deficit and give relief to the rest of us who pay more than our fair share in taxes. If a religious institution has money to lobby Congress, they have money to pay taxes.
Signing this petition is simply saying, "Hey, it is time they start chipping in like the rest of us, in everyone's best interest."
