With climate change on the verge of an irreversible tipping point it is time the government steps in. There are considerable amount of alternative energy resource which are discouraged by the cheap price of fossil fuel energy. By taxing CO2 emissions , industries would be forced to higher coal power energy prices thus discouraging the uses of coal burning as a source of energy. The United States is responsible for 17% of the worlds CO2, its time to make a change.
