The USA is one of the worst democracies for voter turn out. Modeling from Australia's fine for not voting, I propose a tax credit awarded for participating in the electoral process. I'm thinking of some sort of receipt upon handing in your ballot which would then be submitted with your tax return. I would need to consult experts to find an amount both worth it to voters and semi-unnoticeable to the gov income.
