In past few months we see more and more cases of where it is not the original gun owner that caused bodily harm to others, but in fact a relative, a friend, or maybe even a stranger. Not to mention the case of the 15 year old who went into his mom’s closet to retrieve a gun, and murdered several. The best way to prevent such atrocities is making sure everyone who has a gun also has a gun safe. This can be done with incentives for gun safes, such as tax credits, or gift cards. If this can’t be done, perhaps make it a requirement by 2015. This will keep us safe, and will not affect 2nd amendment rights. .
