Tax Fairness-Tax Capital Gains the same as Earned Income.

Created by D.B. on December 25, 2012

Income from investments should be taxed at a similar rate as income from working. Both contain Capital, an asset that produces wealth. Financial Capital generates wealth, as does Human Capital. A Financial Investor has had to work to create and maintain his Financial Capital, a worker has to work to create his Human Capital. To create and build Human Capital takes effort of learning a trade, investing and attending college, or other effort. Why should a Financial Investor be taxed at 15%, while someone working with Human Capital is taxed at 30% or 40%? Its simply not fair, and further has lead to a vanishing middle class and a small group that are becoming Super Rich. If all income were taxed the same way, this would solve much of our government taxation problem.
