My idea is to tax all fast foods, genetically modified foods and anything else that creates cheap and unhealthy foods for consumers. Those taxes would raise the price of fast food and steer many people away from eating it. These extra tax dollars could be re routed as tax breaks to companies that produce healthier, all natural foods. With this subsidy, there would be a requirement to lower the cost of the healthier alternatives so more people could eat healthy.
This would solve many issues our country faces. Less dependency on state/federal run health programs from low income families, higher employment to produce higher quantities of healthier foods in lieu of over packed chicken coups and genetically modified foods that require less man power to run the facility, along with many others.
