Our unemployment problem is due to the lack of consumer demand which can be restored by using our 200 year supply of natural gas and hybrid technology. Nothing will stimulate the economy and create jobs like $1.75 natural gas. Taxing gasoline and subsidizing our use of cleaner ng, biofuels, and electric vehicles will increase consumer demand. A gradual increase in the gasoline tax by 10 to 50 cents per gallon over the next 10 yrs. will incentivized consumers to switch to more efficient ng hybrids. The $8,000 per 2 car family annual energy savings will put money in the hands of consumers instead of our enemies. Without government involvement the transition to ng will be inevitable, but slow. Why wait 20 yrs. and prolong the pain? NG is a bridge fuel we must use until we find alternatives.
