Tax gun law violations will protect responsible gun owners. Evil people don't like paying taxes and will not use a gun so that they will not pay more taxes. If the evil person doesn't pay the tax they will be sent to jail. Responsible gun owners will win both ways and so will the rest of us. Two things are for certain taxes and death. We tax death and marriage it is only natural to tax evil done with a gun. We win.
