Tax the internet to help small business survive and to decrease the deficit.

Created by N.W. on December 11, 2012

Internet sales need to be taxed in order to revive the US economy.

Our country has fallen to the worst deficit in its history while billions of dollars of sales tax revenue slip through the cracks every year. Since the 1820's, our governments have relied on sales tax for up to half of their operating funds. We let billions go untaxed every year while our public schools struggle to pay teachers. $16.4 billion was spent online in just the month November of 2011. Imagine the revenue our government would gain had it all been taxed.

Brick and mortar stores go out of business every day trying to compete with online retailers that have the advantage of little overhead expenses coupled with the no tax benefit. Please help keep my family business and many others alive. Revive America!
