Now in US, the top 1% owns a staggering 40% of the national wealth. In terms of annual income, the top 1% earns more than the bottom 90%. This unequal distribution has done a significant harm on social justice by aggravating socioeconomic inequality. Considering we live in a society where more money translates into more power, it is unjust to give the top 1% such disproportionate wealth and allow undue social influences.
It's time to challenge the problematic status quo. To level the playing ground, tax the top 1%.
