Tax music companies to pay for music education in schools. American music history is being lost due to pop culture.

Created by B.R. on March 05, 2013

From Mozart to Beethoven, Little Richard to Led Zeppelin, school children are being raised by boy bands and performers who lack the experience OR degrees that musicians dedicate their lives to achieving. It is not right that students of Julliard lack the recognition of a 19 year old kid with no life experience, let alone music.

A big part of it is that music education is the first to go when budgets are not passed or are cut down. If the music industry is going to profit from promoting the talent they do...It should not be without the responsibility to pay for this burden to our culture.

Would you want to go to a Mechanic or Dr with no formal training? Why is it OK for our culture to be poisoned with this. It isn't solely about music or entertainment...It's our history and culture!
