Tax people for low mpg cars. The best selling cars in the US are cars with less than 40 mpg. There are BETTER options.

Created by S.T. on May 23, 2013

Cars with less than 40 mpg are selling great in the US. These cars are some of the main reasons for global warming. There are now cars that are electric and have a estimated mpg of over 100 and have no emissions. Even if the electric cars are cheaper than the cars that running on gas, no one is buying them. If there was a tax on people with low mpg cars, it will push people to buy cars that are better for the environment, like the cheaper and newer electric cars. If people buy new cars and trade in old ones, the cars on the streets would not be spewing over 900 million metric tons of CO2 each year.
