Electric cars have a higher approximate MPG of any fuel burning car, Yet we see only a few on the road. Some are cheaper than the best selling cars. However We see these cars with an average MPG according to the EPA of 23.7 for 2012. People are either not getting these cars for the lack of charging stations, or they just want to keep their old car. If people had a reason to buy a new car, let say a tax, then they would would want to buy a new car will more MPG, and would have a larger demand of charging stations which will clear that obstacle. Cars are currently spewing out 900 million metric tons of CO2 each year. If these cars show up, that number will drastically decrease. Then one major factor of Global warming will shrink into a minor one.
