We need a complete overhaul of the current tax system. We petition for a flat tax to eliminate all tax loopholes. Congress and the president use the tax code to serve special interests and to justfy their existence. A flat tax will assure that every citizen with any income will pay a tax. The higher the income ,the more you would pay.
We would also cut expenses by eliminating 90% of the IRS and the attorneys that live off the current tax code.
A flat tax is easy to understand, and you would not need a tax accountant or software package to do your taxes.
It is time to make this change. The tax code is a dysfunctional disaster.
