Tax Reformation

Created by S.H. on November 15, 2012

I firmly believe that as a tax paying citizen it is unjust to even suggest that one person deserves to pay a different tax rate than another based upon income. The federal government should figure out what it costs to run all of its agencies and programs, see where there may be room to save money by eliminating overlapping programs, and then decide off of the total income of U.S. what % would it take to pay off our national debt over a reasonable amount of time. Families everywhere, no matter what their income is, would feel the burden equally whether they are millionaires or barely getting by. At the end of every fiscal year a new percentage could be determined to pay for any shortfalls of the previous year and if there were a surplus it could be invested, making programs more efficient.
