tax registered owners of assault weapons

Create at least a $100 per year tax on each registered assault weapon owned by individuals and a 25 cent bullet tax on each bullet produced or sold in the United States and offer a gun buy back program for the owners of assault weapons who wish to skip the weapons tax. A program like this would make headway in protecting our school children and our citizens from further mass attacks while providing much needed revenue for our country's debt.
