Tax the second car

Created by S.J. on December 31, 2012

Each household is to have one vehicle. Any additional vehicle in one household would be taxed. This also entails a minimum number of people living in one household or apartment for one member to own an untaxed vehicle.

Good:

- Economic: tax for government and the booming of public transportation.

- Community: People would become more organized. They would sit with their family and discuss schedules which would make family members less selfish.

- More community: People would become closer to their neighbors and co-workers. Carpool!

- Responsible Spending: Parents would think twice before buying their teenage son or daughter a car. People would truly become involved in their purchasing decisions.

- Environment.

Bad

Discourages auto-industry. But willingness to pay more increases.
