Tax those individuals with an annual income in the top 2% with a flat rate percentage.

Created by R.B. on January 30, 2013

The citizens in our country who are in the top 2% often pay less by percentage than those in the middle. I urge that above a certain income the tax rate be a flat percentage of 30%. This would include all annual income (i.e. Interest from investments accounts whether overseas or domestic, royalties aquired within the tax year, regular income, and all other sources of profit/income). This would include absolutely no tax breaks.

As an example: Billy Citizen accrued $200,000 in interest this year, $500,000 from an advertisement he did in Japan this year, and $300,000 in royalies received this year from a book he wrote four years ago. Billy would owe the U.S. Government $300,000 which is 30% of the $1,000,000 he made this year. There should be absolutely NO tax breaks for Billy!
