Taxes on Imports

Created by E.H. on September 24, 2011

Our economy has been decimated by sending factories overseas and importing cheap goods from other countries. We do not impose taxes on countries which do impose them on things imported from the United States. We should negotiate reciprocal trade agreements (no taxes on imports or exports) with other countries wherever possible. If such agreements are not made all imports should be taxed a sufficient amount, as to make the cost of such goods the same as the same product made here. This would protect our domestic industries and add revenues for the government.
