Bullying is a widespread problem in the United States and we desperately need to reform the education system to address this.
Teaching basic psychology to our children when they are young is necessary and can be done and implemented in our present school system, without the need for major change. Teaching our children about why some students will act out and attack their peers will be giving them the tools to go through their school life unscathed. Educating our children in the matters of how to handle peer harassment is a necessary and very important first step in protecting their future.
We owe it to our children to be taught and educated in a safe environment.
