The petition is important because it impacts the youth. Children are the next generation and the ones who will control the world next. Schools have been very biased on their ways of teaching Sex Education. Most teach that abstinence is the best and only way to stop all harm that can come from sex. However, studies have shown that teaching youth this has not been working. If anything, it has been teaching children that, to get a point across, it is okay to scare people. After all, the only thing abstinence is doing is scaring the youth. This a petition to try to get schools to teach more than abstinence and to teach other methods of controlling sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancies.
