In light of the multiple shootings that have been happening lately, and the fact that the weapons used in these shootings were stolen from the original owner to be used in the shootings, I believe that it is wrong to punish those who are responsible gun owners. Instead we should regulate gun safes, if you own a gun, you will own a gun safe; that should be the law.
There are far too many people who call for an all out ban on guns for all the wrong reasons because they believe that guns being illegal will stop these shootings. That is simply not the case. A large percentage of shootings are done with stolen or otherwise illegally obtained weapons.
Drugs are illegal, yet people still use them. Automobiles kill more people per year than guns do, yet they aren't pushing to make them illegal
