The Ferguson case has shone a light on the lack of understanding and knowledge of discrimination and hardships some African-Americans face in their life time. Black boys are being seeing as problems long before they know how to read and black women are being led to think they're colour is what makes them ugly and some white people are completely oblivious to it all.
We need to teach kids of colour how to overcome racism and the discrimination.
We need to teach white kids the privilege they posses that they aren't even aware of.
We need to teach the kids that although they may look different from one another, we are still the same. We deserve the same.
We need to teach the kids the truth of the world. If we want a change, start with telling kids the truth.
