Ted Cruz has recently been appointed chair of the committee that oversees NASA.
NASA has a long history of being a prime force in the USA and world for Science, Technology, and Space Exploration. NASA also has a history of boosting the US economy - roughly 1 million dollars in revenue for each NASA project on average (study in 2011 - NASA SEINSI).
The Senator however lack a serious understanding in science and technology. He denies climate change which has been monitored and shown by NASA and in 2013, he tried to defund NASA even further, yet at the same time he stated "It’s critical that the United States ensure its continued leadership in space."
For the good of the nation, please do anything within the executive branch to prevent Ted Cruz from hurting NASA in his new position.
