On July 24 President Obama stated: “With an endless parade of distractions, political posturing and phony scandals, Washington has taken its eye off the ball.”
To make this statement, the President has made the determination that specific scandals are phony. If the President has determined a scandal to be phony, it would lead the American people to believe that this scandal is no longer going to be thoroughly investigated. The most prominent current political scandals are:
1. NSA surveillance
2. IRS targeting
3. DOJ seizing of phone records
4. Attack in Benghazi
