Since 9/11, two significant things happened for our nation's disabled veterans. First was the implementation of Concurrent Receipt of Disability Pay (CRDP), which allowed all disabled veteran's to receive all disability benefits that were owed to them right away instead of only getting some of them until after the veteran retired from working their subsequent civilian job or were unable to return to work due to their service-connected disabilities. The second was the number of veteran's with service-connected disabilities has increased over 100% resulting from troops coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan with war wounds. How does congress want to "fix" the problem? End CRDP and cut-back on these benefits that our government promised us when we enlisted. This foolishness must end.
