We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

TELL CONGRESS: PASS A LAW ALLOWING THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO NEGOTIATE PHARMACEUTICAL, MEDICAL DEVICE AND SERVICE COSTS.

Created by M.G. on October 25, 2016

Every modernized country possesses the ability to negotiate drug and medical device prices except the U.S.

Under the 2003 law that established the prescription drug benefit portion of Medicare, called Part D, the government is banned from directly negotiating prices with industry. Instead, private health insurance companies negotiate prices.

This is unreasonable and leads to greatly inflated prices for drugs, medical devices and medical procedures.

It is time to get congress to act and reverse this decision. Bothe current Presidential candidates are in favor of this as is the Obama administration. Tell congress it's time to act and get this done. We as Americans deserve better, we deserve the power to negotiate.
