In light of Hostess Brands, Inc.'s recent filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and in the name of the preservation of perhaps the ultimate American snack, the Twinkie, we petition the Obama Administration to:
Ask Congress to bail out Hostess Brands, Inc. by distributing whatever amount of money to the company it deems necessary. This will save nearly 20,000 jobs (bakers, truck drivers, etc.), and ensure that Americans will continue to enjoy that cream-filled sponge cake we've all come to know and love. This is not just a matter of jobs, it is about the preservation of something very, very American.
