Tell congress to write an amendment to the US constitution that forces the president&congress to live within their means

Created by M.K. on November 29, 2012

Our Founders wrote a US constitution that forces the president to live within its means until Woodrow Wilson signed the federal reserve act which stole the power from congress and granted it to the president to print and spend money the government doesn't have. The US constitution which quotes, "Only congress can mint currencies" originally didn't give the president the borrowing and spending power but the congress. Congress nor the president should have the power to borrow and spend. In order to reduce our deficit with lower taxes, less government spending, and balanced budgets America needs a new amendment to the US constitution that prohibits both the president and congress from borrowing and spending money the government has. Congress too will have to live within their means.
