Tell the EPA to ban Atrazine, Simazine and Triazine compounds! The health of our people and ecology are in great danger.

Created by W.S. on August 15, 2013

The EPA continues to study the dangers of herbicides like Atrazine, Simazine and other Triazine compounds although a mountain of evidence already exists. These have been linked to multiple forms of cancer, reproductive harm, birth defects and organ damage in humans. Levels of ground water contamination continue to rise dispite existing precautions. These chemicals are applied to crops and lawns throughout the US, primarily in the Midwest and southern US. Atrazine has been confirmed to cause male frogs to change sexes and cause reproductive harm in aquatic species. Simazine was banned for use as an algea controller in swimming pools by the EPA in 1994 due to " unacceptable health risks to children and adults" but they continue to allow their use on commercial crops and its time to stop!
