The U.S. has fallen behind other countries in broadband since 2001 when we were ranked 4th. Why because the FCC abandoned a previous commitment to foster and mandate competition among service providers. Now the future of the Internet as an open platform is threatened as big providers with a conflict of interest want to discriminate against Network Neutrality. Our global competitiveness is as a result at risk.
