We the People humbly request that President Obama, a fellow Marvel fan, encourage Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment to broker a deal in which "The Amazing Spiderman" will be allowed to join Joss Whedon's "The Avengers".
"The Avengers" is universally recognized as the greatest and most ambitious superhero franchise in history. Spiderman is a national treasure. It is a travesty that earth must accept one without the other.
"The Amazing Spiderman" star Andrew Garfield has already expressed interest in Peter Parker joining the Avengers Universe.
President Obama is well known as one of Spiderman's most prominent fans. It would go a long way to help the national unity if he were to reach out and help encourage the powers that be to give this great gift to the American people.
