Tell media outlets to stop reporting superdelegates in election results before the 2016 Democratic Convention.

Created by M.B. on March 06, 2016

The superdelegate system is undemocratic and confusing. Superdelegates are not chosen by a democratic vote by the people, yet they can unfairly influence the outcome of the Democratic Party primaries.

Currently, the superdelegate system is being validated by media outlets who report the number of superdelegates as part of the total delegate count. This skews public perception of which candidate is currently in the lead.

We request, at the very least, that superdelegate votes be reported on honestly and fairly by media outlets, in other words, not included in the overall delegate count until the 2016 Democratic Convention.
