Tell people to stop making stupid petitions.

In response to recent petitions such as the multiple secession petitions as well as the citizenship-stripping counterpetition, I believe the public must realize that these types of petitions are ineffective in solving problems, unpatriotic, and undemocratic. Our nation was based on compromise, not quitting because we lost an election, and General Washington never spoke about how the Colonies should declare independence because the king they voted for didn't win. Our country has much more pressing problems that must be addressed, and petitions such as these are just diverting resources from these problems. To show your support, either sign this petition to raise awareness about stupid petitions, or do not sign this petition on the grounds that it itself is a stupid petition. Thanks!
