In an effort to benefit children of divorce, all states should begin all child custody cases with a 50/50 split in parenting time. We understand that some men and women are unfit to parent, and judges should rule accordingly in the best interest of the children. If both parents are found to be fit and proper an equal parenting time arrangement should be the standard.
