Tell us, the people, how to have a voting process created that gives the people power to make change.

I would like to know if there is a way for the people of this country to petition to have new voting process enacted. The country is capable of tracking every dollar every person makes throughout the year, it is more than capable of giving the people power to change.
I am personally tired of state legislators not addressing issues in a timely manner or at all. Resources are wasted with the constant debating and battling that our legislators do.
We are all "equal" in America. There are issues that we could vote on to make law in every state. To make every person equal in every state. Examples would be same sex marriage, marijuana legalization, or parental equality.
Let's see this change, Mr President.
